Description

What will the shorelines of Ilwaco, Chinook, and the places that matter to you look like in the future? You’re invited to a workshop series to answer this question.

The first workshop will occur on Thursday, March 30 at 6 pm at the Historic Chinook School. It will explore the impacts of sea level rise (increased flooding, erosion, and salinity intrusion) to the infrastructure, habitats, and other places that matter to you.  This is the first of three workshops to develop specific actions to make Baker Bay more resilient to sea level rise; future workshop dates will be available soon.

Pizza and snacks will be provided. Gift certificates to local vendors and a raffle ticket for door prizes will be offered to all workshop participants. To encourage the participation of families, a kids drawing and activity table will be set up in the room.

These workshops are hosted by Washington Sea Grant and the Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership. For more information, contact Jackson Blalock, Washington Sea Grant, at jackbla@uw.edu
