Description

What do the Grays Bay-area shorelines, riverbanks and the places that matter to you look like today? How will they look in the future? You’re invited to a workshop series to answer this question.

The second workshop of this three-part series is scheduled for Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 6 p.m. and will take place at Rosburg Hall. The first workshop was held on May 25, but attendance at the previous session is not a requirement for participation in the upcoming event.

During this workshop, attendees will delve into the flood-related issues identified in the previous workshop. Participants will examine the projected changes affecting these areas due to sea level rise and increasing flood risk. The goal is to identify and prioritize potential solutions to address the challenges posed by increased flooding.

Pizza, snacks, and refreshments will be provided. Gifts from local vendors and a raffle ticket for a chance to win a door prize will be offered to all workshop participants. To encourage families to attend, a dedicated kids' drawing and activity table will be set up in the venue.

The workshop series is organized by Washington Sea Grant, Pacific Conservation District, and the Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership. For further details and inquiries, please reach out to Jackson Blalock at the Pacific Conservation District via email at jblalock@pacificcd.org.
