Description
Join us for a wonderful evening of community building and nature exploring as we paddle along the Willamette River near Ross Island.
- FREE event for people who identify as Black, Indigenous, or other people of color, and is in partnership with Through the Trees Collective.
- No paddling experience necessary. Children ages 7 and above are welcome!
- All paddling supplies, canoeing guides, and dinner provided.
- Funded by the Oregon State Marine Board and provided through the Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership.
Schedule
5:30 PM Gather at Willamette Park in SW Portland
5:45 PM Meet T3C and Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership Paddle Instructors. Safety instructions and a paddling demo
6:15 PM Paddle on the Willamette River, stopping on Ross Island for a picnic dinner (provided)
8:00 PM Arrive back at Willamette Park
