Description
Plant native trees and shrubs as a part of a significant fish and wildlife enhancement project along a side channel of the Clackamas River. These plants will provide much-needed habitat and will improve the water quality of the Clackamas River. The event is co-hosted by the Clackamas River Basin Council and the Estuary Partnership.
Saturday, February 21st, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Pre-registration is required. All ages and abilities are welcome. No prior experience is necessary. Please let us know if you need accommodations to participate due to language, disability, or other needs.

Youth aged 15 + may volunteer without an adult present.
Accessibility: The planting site is a short walk from the parking lot. The ground is uneven, and the pond banks are steep, so watch your step and know your comfort level when walking around the site.
We'll provide: Planting gloves, shovels, snacks, and warm beverages.
What to wear: Long sleeves, pants, sturdy sneakers or boots. Dress for the weather: extra layers are helpful.
What you should bring: Water bottle, sun/raingear.
Schedule:
9:30 AM - Check in
9:45 AM - Introductions, project orientation, safety and planting demo
10:00 AM - Planting native trees and shrubs (taking personal breaks when needed)
12:20 PM - Wrap up
12:30 PM - End of event
