Description
Plant trees to enhance native habitat and improve the water quality of South Scappoose Creek in partnership with the Scappoose Bay Watershed Council and the Estuary Partnership.
Saturday, February 28th, 9:30 AM -12:30 PM
Pre-registration is required.

All ages and abilities are welcome. No prior experience is necessary. Please let us know if you need accommodations to participate due to language, disability, or other additional needs.

Youth age 15 + may volunteer without an adult present.
Accessibility: The planting site is near the park's parking lot. The project area ranges from flat and in grass to muddy and sloped.
We'll provide: Planting gloves, shovels, snacks and warm beverages.
What to wear: Long sleeves, pants, sturdy sneakers or boots. Dress for the weather: extra layers are helpful.
What you should bring: Water bottle, sun/raingear.
Schedule:
9:30 AM - Check in
9:45 AM - Introductions, project orientation, safety and planting demo
10:00 AM - Planting native trees and shrubs (taking personal breaks when needed)
12:20 PM - Wrap up
12:30 PM - End of event
