Description

Plant trees and shrubs to enhance native habitat and improve the water quality of Crabapple Creek and the Multnomah Channel. 

Saturday, October 24th, 9:30 AM -1:00 PM

Pre-registration is required.

  • All ages and abilities are welcome. No prior experience is necessary. Please let us know if you need accommodations to participate due to language, disability, or other additional needs.

  • Youth age 15 + may volunteer without an adult present.

Accessibility: The planting site is about 1/2 mile from the parking area on a flat gravel path. Planting will be on uneven ground. 

We'll provide: Planting gloves, tools, snacks and warm beverages.

What to wear: Long sleeves, pants, sturdy sneakers or boots. Dress for the weather: extra layers are helpful.

What you should bring: Water bottle, sun/raingear, bag lunch or snack.

Schedule:

9:30 AM - Check in

9:45 AM - Introductions and project orientation

10:00 AM - Planting native trees and shrubs

1:00 PM - End of event
