Volunteer Stewardship at the Sandy River Delta - Saturday, 11/14

Join LCEP, Confluence, local Indigenous partners, and the US Forest Service as we work together on the repatriation and rematriation of the Sandy River Delta. This work is being done through land tending and traditional cultural and ecological knowledge focused on enhancement and rehabilitation of an Indigenous foods gathering area within the conservation area. Collaborate with us, work in community while removing blackberries that are encroaching on culturally significant plants! 

November 14th, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Pre-registration is required.

• All ages and abilities are welcome. No prior experience is necessary. Please let us know if you need accommodations to participate due to language, disability, or other additional needs.

• Youth aged 15+ may volunteer without an adult present.

Accessibility: Walk 0.5-mile dirt and grass trail (one -way). The project will be off this trail on uneven ground. 

We'll provide: Tools, gloves, and snacks. 

Please bring:  Drinking water, sun/rain protection and footwear you don’t mind getting dirty. 

Directions: Sandy River Delta Parking Lot Directions; FREE Parking:  Right after the park entrance (before the parking lot), turn right at the Estuary Partnership event sign to access designated volunteer parking.
