Dear {{First Name}},

As the end of 2023 approaches, it is time to reflect on and share some of the people we are thankful for this year!

  • Our teachers, principals, and school district officials. It is thanks to them that our Environmental Educators can connect with students and engage them on inspiring, educational field trips.

  • Our volunteers! Volunteers planted nearly 16,000 trees and shrubs with us last planting season, and mulched and weeded on top of that. How many will they plant this year?

  • The many supporters of our East Fork Lewis River Reconnection Project. Thanks to members of Clark County Council and Public Works, Clark-Skamania Fly Fishers, Lower Columbia Fish Recovery Board, Lower Columbia Fish Enhancement Group, Columbia Land Trust, Washington Departments of Ecology, Natural Resources, and Fish and Wildlife, and other supporters, this project is set to break ground once permits and designs are finalized.

  • Our paddling partners. We're so thankful to be able to share our love for being on-river with folks of all ages. Shout out to groups like Friends of the Children, Portland Harbor Community Coalition, Friendly House, Astoria Q Center, ELSO, and so many more for bringing your communities out on the water.

  • Our Tribal partners. It's no surprise that Tribal Nations and their members are the most dedicated to improving the health of the Columbia River and restoring salmon runs. These lands, waters, and the foods and medicines they provide are everything to those who have called this area home since time immemorial. We strive to honor this dedication through our own work to improve habitat for salmon and lamprey and to reinvigorate First Foods.

  • You! We know that if you're on this email list, you are incredibly dedicated to the health of our rivers and natural areas. Thank you!

Please consider making a tax-deductible gift by December 31 to support our vital work to restore the Columbia River and to engage communities in its care. We're 40% of the way toward our $10,000 goal. I know we can get to our goal together with your help, and your gift makes a difference.

Thank you for your generosity,
